Hi!  I am Lakshmi Kothaneth.  Words have been a captivating world for me.  I am sure it has been for you too.  After all words are an integral part of communication.
We speak, we read, we write - all to communicate.
For some of us it is a career.  The exciting part of my career has been the fact that I meet people to do interviews.  It is as satisfying as reading a book.  A new book all the time.  Each person is a beautiful story.
Looking back I was intrigued with the concept of interviewing when I was a seventh grader as I went around recording my friends talking about their ambitions in my little tape recorder my brother gave me.
Of course a degree in Mass Communication took me to the intricate world of broadcasting.  That has taken me to a stage, with God's grace, where I have met lots and lots of interesting people. I work at Radio Sultanate of Oman 90.4 FM and Sultante of Oman Television. I have a column every Sunday on Oman Observer called On the Airwaves.

Part of my job is also television.  Right now I am producing, writing and presenting a program called Salalah Tourism Festival 2010.
